And It Is Purple!

Christmas Tree on Wenceslas Square, Prague 2006Remember our blue Christmas tree from last year? Were you curious, just like we were, what the Taiko team would come up with this year? How can they beat last year’s Wenceslas Square wonder?

The wait is finally over and we are not disappointed. Yes, I gave it away in the title. The tree is purple! Amazingly, glitterily purple, beckoning from afar as Wenceslas Square’s new temporary icon.

I know it’s early, but why not have a little fun and try to predict next year’s dashing color choice? My guess is turquoise.

It’s definitely preferable to last year’s. But you know, I saw it on Saturday and could’ve sworn it was blue or turquoise. Does it possibly change colors, or maybe I’m going color blind. It was very pretty, though, and it puts Brno’s tree to shame. At least we have a real tree this year, but the lighting is not very impressive.

Well, I don’t know then. When I saw it, it was purple. I haven’t been back to the square since. Maybe it does change colors. Wow, that would be something! ;)

Prague has a real tree too. The one on Old Town Square. I wonder what the Brno tree looks like.

Hi, Dana !
It’s great meeting you on the net. Helped me remember the most wonderful Christmas time i spent ever. It was in Prague. It lasted few hours, and tree was blue, and i drank Svarjak and … I love you all so much, wonderful people of a wonderful country.
Could you write to Pan Jezisek for me ?
He is the only one who can bring me back my lost love.
